Waking up
something great
something wonderful
and had it slip out of your hands
you could blame the people, places and things around you
say there was too much distraction
hatin'
havoc
hell
but in the inside you're mad because
you know
and you knew then
when it was important to know such things
that you were ultimately in control
because ultimately you are
powerful
perfect
poignant
and you with your powerfully, perfect, poignant self let it slip
and all that anger
disgust
disdain
disillusion
with the world
is merely you
trying to reflect
what you found in your own reflections
away from yourself
like a bad smell that makes you want to vomit
well
I took a wiff
and I woke up.
